Thank you for your letter which travelled with the delegation from the Eldariant which arrived in Imladris yesterday. Carme of the Shire read your words to us which were well received by those in service to Lord Elrond. It was good to hear the sentiment expressed by yourself echoed by the others of the delegation.
Lady Elisbeth when speaking with the delegation expressed the wish to form ties between Imladris and the Eldariant. Imladris has long sought allies in the west, for too long our focus has been more eastward. We believe the joining of this alliance will serve all parties and once more demonstrate the willingness of those of our kind to stand alongside men and the other free peoples.
Thus we accept the open hand offered by yourself and the others of the Eldariant with the hope that this bond will grow to be strong of limb and bow.
