Ambush leaves Angry Mob Angrier than Ever!

On the eve of the 7th Sterday of Afterlithe by the Shire Reckoning, an angry mob has been seen heading south along the Greenway, apparently in search of two criminals, named Carlotta Oakenweed and an enigmatic girl named Redain. They were apparently wanted on the charges of the latter having stolen some townsfolk and selling them on the Slave market far in Evendim.
"I's saw 'er!" Says one woman, whose name is not disclosed due to privacy reasons, "I saw 'er with me own eyes! She's the one who stole me 'usband from me!"
Allegations detail how the duo were approached by two drunk guards near Mayor Boskin's house and smoothly attempted to bypass the guards who were questioning them by telling them they were refugees from William Peake's farm, which, according to them, was supposedly burned down by an orc raid.
Commotion ensued, however, as the first woman ran down the guards with her horse and made off towards the gate, which was slowly closing to bar the intruders any chance of escape. At that moment, however, the second woman fell off her horse and revealed herself to be a slave trader who had previously sold a few of the townsfolk into Slavery.
An eyewitness details, "They were tryin' ter make a run fer the gate, which was slowly closin' off any means o' escape. The other woman fell of 'er 'orse though, and tha' 'orse jus' ran fer i'. The other one - the 'ooded one, mind ye - grabbed 'er by the 'and and star'ed gallopin' fer the 'ills 'cause them gates were already closed. They managed ter escape! 'Tis be madness I tell ye! Them guards shoul' guard tha' open way ter them 'ills properly!"
It is said that the two women then made for the unguarded pathway to the Eastern Bree-fields, and subsequently escaped, with the other woman barely holding onto the rider. The following evening, an angry mob was seen spilling out of the same pathway, brandishing pitchforks and lit torches, chanting repeatedly, "Down with the Elf-lover! Down with the Slave-Sorceress!" as they made their way down the Greenway in their search.
After sometime the mob appeared to split up. A small group was then heard alerting the others of the two criminals, which were said to have been http://laurelinarchives.org/node/10743|hiding behind a large boulder. The mob swiftly proceeded to arrest the pair as a scuffle ensued. One recounted, "A woman wiv long red 'air star'ed whackin' our men wiv her big spear! I could see the men crumplin' as they tried ter arres' er!"
The scuffle went on for a moment until a volley of arrows hit the crowd as an Orc raid proceeded to attack the angry mob, which began to disperse in panic at the orcs.
The fighting and smoke could be seen from Hengstacer Farms and the Horsefields, where it is said a http://laurelinarchives.org/node/10689|company of Rohirrim had begun to camp nearby. The Criminals themselves are said to have vanished in the throng of the fighting.
