Born in Hithlum, daughter of Meranor, warrior, and Melungoë, poet. Only one name publically known. She belongs to the Grey elves or Twilight elves, the Sindar that never crossed the sea to Valinor

Nírnaeth Arnoediad, "The Battle of Unnumbered Tears", is fought at midsummer. Morgoth utterly defeats the Elves and Edain. Mirineth who is present as a scout/messenger, is caught by a warg, losing her left leg. Her father Meranor dies in the retreat.

The family escapes and settles in one of the many small realms in the east of Beleriand. A long period of recovery begins. During this period, Mirineth trains hard to ride horses again. She uses all sorts of herbs to fight intense phantom pains. She describes the pain as if her left foot is still there, burning to the bone.

Mirineth offers her services as messenger and scout and rides again. Maintains liaisons between many realms.

The ultimate defeat of Morgoth means the end of Beleriand and the start of the Second Age. Foundation of Mithlond the Grey Havens under Círdan, and Lindon as the Noldorin Kingdom under Gil-galad. Mirineth settles in Mithlond and offers her services to Círdan.

Obor, son of Oldonir, husband of Mirineth, perishes in the defence of Mithlond during The War of the Elves and Sauron (S.A. 1693-1701). A year later, her mother sails into the West. End of the 'Happy Years'

Mirineth plays her humble role as one of the many messengers in the forming of the Last Alliance.

Sauron's forces are defeated in the Battle of Dagorlad. Mirineth is wounded, nevertheless rides out as one of the first messengers to report the victory in Rivendell, crossing the Misty Mountains in record breaking time. She stays in Rivendell to recover, missing the seven year siege of Barad-dûr, and in the end, the defeat of Sauron. Sauron's defeat means the end of the Second Age.
T.A. Start
Both daughters join her in Rivendell. Mirineth decides to settle, and is offered the rank of diplomatic officer. She maintains liaisons between Lindon (Mithlond in particular) and Rivendell for many years.
T.A. 1500 - current
Mirineth starts to operate as a counselor for private matters, like a Middle Earth psychologist. Often to be found in and around the Last of the Homely House, she regularly visits the Hall of Fire gatherings.
