Pride..? Honor? Compassion...?
Slowly I continued to summarize certain virtues in my head. My breathing was calm and relaxed, and constantly, as it escaped my lips, it mixed together with our natural odor and the wind that came from the east, where the ocean engulfed the land and the world, at least, the part that was known to me, faded into a horizon of bright, light-blue waves that gave off a reflection of the sun when it either dawned or set. The few blades of grass that were able to wriggle themselves through my semi-long, pitch black hair, tickled the back of my head.
Power…? Money..? Gallantry?
My heartbeat was as slow and gentle as the warm breeze that hugged my slightly reddish cheeks. Furthermore, this carefree wave of warmth attacked the leaves above us, making them emit a rustling sound.
Charity? Justice…? Wisdom..?
My crimson-red hauberk that reached down slightly beneath my knees was a bit damp because of the morning dew that we were resting on. The coat was covered in a dark, grey shadow. The shadow was brought forth by a rather large tree. I don’t know a lot about different kinds of trees, but I was guessing that this was probably a maple. A slightly colder, refreshing gust of wind scraped past my face and I exhaled slowly, my eyes still closed and the question behind the summarizing in my head, finally reached my thoughts.
What… defines a hero..?
I opened my eyes and was barely able to realise it, it was merely a dream. But it had seemed so real... I could have sworn that I felt the wind and the tickling of the grass. That I was able to inhale her own, unique odor.. A lovely dream, but I can't keep resting on a field of grass all day...
