An Interesting Twist

Ah... Such interesting events...

It was no special day, and I walked into the Pony like I always did. When I walked in, I looked around with a smile before heading up the stairs, towards the back. Right before I went into the hallway to my left, I exchanged eye contact with a lady who's clothing was a fine, red dress and and a hooded cloak. Red, yet again.

I've seen the appearance before, and I knew who she was. After eyeing her up and down I continued my way to find Merial and Lirwyna sitting by the fire. Smiling warmly, I greeted them and asked them if there was any news. And indeed there was... Emdar and Anrianne Hawthorn, dead.

This was no coincidence. Her appearance and this news. I just knew that the lady I had just exchanged gazes with had to do with this. After a moment of silence, the lady in red walked past us, continuing further into the back while being followed by a few others. Naturally, as curious as I am, I walked after her, Merial and Lirwyna joining me. We were all there for the same reason: answers.

Anrianne and Emdar seemed to have served this lady before, perhaps unwillingly. She told us that. It was something I already knew. She continued, telling us that Anrianne found love, or so she said, and didn't serve this red lady anymore. Yet a few nights ago. Anrianne shoved a dagger through Emdar's throat, and then tried to kill the one now standing before us, slipping off the rocks and falling to her death instead.

The discussion went on, and Merial acted hastily, grabbing her collar and beginning to threaten her. Someone I had met and talked to before, Ahree, who I consider a friend, even after all this, tried to pull Merial away. I stepped in and put my hand on his shoulder, telling him that Merial wouldn't listen to him. When my hand touched his shoulder, another hooded lady appeared behind me, clearly wanted me to move away from Ahree.

I remained calm, and ignored the woman while talking to the Red Lady. That continuous smile of hers was aimed towards me as she told me she would explain everything to me in due time. After some more arguing, she moved up the stairs, us following. The lady that was behind me stood in front of the red-dressed woman, blocking a dagger that Merial threw at her.

The result of the evening was this: I will receive a invitation to a private meeting with her in the coming days, or so I expect if she sticks to her word. A meeting, in which she would tell me everything. A meeting that could turn things around... A meeting with Lady Nalokha..
