Journal of Tirnendir - Entry 5

30th Ringaré, Calendar of Númenor.

Welcome amidst the inhabitants of Thorenhad had felt strained. I know I had no troubles with these Elves, though they had little cause to welcome me nor any reason to assist the troubles of a stranger to their camp. I headed south and set up a small encampment upon the hills over looking the main road throughout the Trollshaws. A stray coney found itself within my path, though I fear the fairness of Elves had caused a lul in these animals natural advertisty to coming so close. Thoughts aside, the little fellow made for an enjoyable meal.

Several hours past and as the stars began to show themselves amidst the evenings sky.. I heard whispers from behind, though not of the foul kind. An Elven lady, by the name of Shantel, approached my camp followed by a lady named Killandra and her brother named Aeradin soon followed whilst an Elven male kept his distance beside the tree's surrounding my campfire. They showed the signs of being members of 'The warband of Imladris', a company whose cause I was aware of, and requested the reason to my visit.

I shared what I knew with the company and recieved some shock and admiration for my quest thus far. Aeradin, who I had taken for the leader of this company, and Shantel had offered my guidance into the halls of Elrond aswell as the council of the Warbands command. I accepted the offer without hesitation for I knew they'd have more cause to rid these lands of Angmarims.

It was enjoyable to travel under such company, though my mind was ever curious of Killandra and Aeradin's purpose admist such a far off company. I would have taken them as those from Rohan if it wasn't for the names, though it proves obvious that they hold the trust of the Eldar.  Once we arrived at the house of Elrond, word was sent to their officers of my cause and I was offered accomodation in one of the guest rooms.

Shantel and Rilynlyl, the two Elves of the company, acompanied me through the evening in the Hall of Fire. It was an interesting night, though even my finest clothing proved to be scruffy admist the golden gowns and robes of the residents here.
