Leaving Imladris

She took the saddle to the horse, and laid it on top of his back.

The campsite was cleared. No one could see that someone had stayed there.

She loosened the horse, and rose gently in the saddle as she took a good grip on the reins.

Her thoughts wandered back to the previous day. It felt so long ago. So much had happened in the meantime. For a long time she had to wonder whether the time had come to leave the vale. She had lived in Imladris for many years now. The longing for the sea had slowly sneaked into her. Her Herth was not excited about her decision. They wanted her to stay. But no one managed to persuade her. So she gave the leadership to Lady Thaliwen. She had a dream to go back to Valinor. To her birthplace Tirion. But she felt that the time had not come to take that step. Not yet. She was still needed here. But not here in Imladris.

The fate let her meet Lord Istuir. He belonged to a group of Mithdirith's and scout's preparing for the trip back to Thamas Lorn in Lindon's land. The relief was immense when they invited her to join the journey back. They were so hospitable and generous. They told about their duty and aiding. She felt her heart was filled with joy. So perfect it had been for her. Close to the sea, do something meaningful. She gently asked if she could join them. Do duties and aid them.

Gently she pressed her knees around the horse's side. The horse started to walk

She was alone now. They had all rested here. Lady Hallothel, Lady Whethlenn and lord Istuir. She smiled for herself. They were all so lovely. Lord Istuir seemed to be a bit strict, but fair. It was intended she should follow them back to Thamas Lorn. but her horse was too tired, so she decided to stay there over the night. Lady Hallothel had given her the direction, so it should be easy to find them.

She slacked on the reins and let the horse go at the pace itself wanted.

She watched the sun rise over the little hobbit village, and she felt so happy. But she still had a long way to ride, until she reached Lindon's land.
