A greater fear

((Written as Awiergan would tell it.))

Never... Have I ever, been so nervous and fearful of anything in my life. Twenty four winters I have seen and naught would have ever prepared me for what this day.

I felt this sudden happiness flow through me like a herd of free horses roaming through the plains in Rohan. The sight of seeing my beautiful beloved in the most stunning dress and a crown of flowers atop her head had brought this to, though it was not only her beauty that took me. It was the fact that it was her, Gweneira. I approached though hardly feeling worthy of being the one who would stand next to her on that day, to hold her hand and accept what was coming forth for us.

It was the day of our wedding, which was strangely enough brought together by a Dwarf, a strange Dwarf, yes but a good friend of mine! Kveltrild was nice enough to give a speech of me before we began, it was the most queer and untrue speech I have ever heard and I shall deny it being true as long as it remains unproven! It went as such:

"When I had first met Awiergan in Bree, I knew that he was a desperate young stable boy who needed to be wed. Though somehow I knew that he would find someone fitting for himself in time and it appears that this person would be Gweneira!"

My ears were clearly layered with too much happiness for something as that to dampen my mood on that day. After Kveltrild gave another speach of Gweneira, which I cannot remember at all, we began to get through our 'I do's '. And soon enough I had the pleasure of decorating her finger with a silver which contained a gleaming diamond on it and sealed it all with a hesitant but certain kiss to her. Though, I assume I did well in hiding the fact that I was nervous that I almost forgot that I was supposed to kiss her, I stood blankly looking at the Dwarf until Kveltrild politely gestures me to do the right thing. I am an idiot for forgetting that....

It was then when the Kveltrild had gifted us, for me a hammer. "Use it to protect your family, Awiergan." said Kveltrild. But I thought that it would be more useful to repair a broken door or something of the sort. For Gweneira, Kveltrild gave a fancy jeweled hand-mirror. She has had a looking at Mirrors for a while, this truly solves that issue...

"Now jump into the fountain!" - Someone called out, for what purpose I know not know and why I should have even had done in the first place I know not either.  Gweneira and I had in fact jumped into a fountain afterwards, ruining her beautiful dress and my robes which was naught even compared. Is this truly how one seals a wedding? I had always thought that it was with a ring and a kiss...

I am more than certain that the rest of my days shall be happy ones, there is no doubt, as long as I have her with me I do not think that there is anything that could ever change that happiness.
