“Help us! They took our baby!”
Fierel holds the letter, both shocked and enraged. Orcs in Chetwood? What is the meaning of this? He ran to the stables, grabbed his horse and got to Combe as fast as he could. He searched for his friend, ranger and gatherer of information for the Council. It was him who sent the message to Fierel, telling him about the farmer's wife words.
“This is very urgent mi'lord. We must look into this.” - he roared “He took Fierel to meet the woman that lost her daughter. Only ten years old she was. Innocence and a smile was all she had.
“Please help us mi'lord...” she cried, kneeled in front of him “We'll give you anything! Our lands! Our cattle!”
Fierel was moved by the woman's words. He hold her hand and lift her up. “I do not want anything in exchange. I'll bring your daugher safe home. I promess.” On the other corner of the small house, the farmer, father to the child, cried. The ranger gave him words of courage, although he knew that wouldn't count for much.
Both left the small house shaken. But at the same time, rage and courage grew inside Fierel. He had to do something.
He went to Comb and Wattle Inn and asked for a room. He needed to change to a lighter gear, something that would allow him to search and scout the forest without drawing much attention and giving him the advantage of speed.
He and his companion, both wandered on Chetwood for hours, looking for clues. Clues that would take them to the group of orcs. After what looked like four or five exhausting hours, they finally found some footprints. They followed it across the small spaces between the huge trees of Chetwood. It took them to a small passage into the Weatherhills.
“I have never seen or heard about this path before!” - claimed the ranger
They followed the path up the hill. At the top, they had to stop abruptely. Patrols of orcs wandered around the fort of Ost Alagos. The clues lead them to that foul place.
With the night falling and both men exhausted, they had nothing more they could do for that day. They travelled back to Comb and Wattle Inn and stayed there for the night.
A long night of sleep and some good food was enough.
Fierel warned the sergeant-at-arms Saphrax about the entire situation. After some scouting work they did together, both decided that raiding the place would be the best solution. So it is planned that the Town Watch, with the support of the Council of the Red Dragon, shall raid the place.

It is to note that other brave people in Combe offered their help. So it is the case of Tylan, Aranglin, Delryc and others, which I can't recall their names. Combe people must be proud of this men, as risk their lives for the good of others. And that is how all men should be.
Hopefully... we can get that little child in time. I pray for that.
