This week, I made a new friend. His name is Telfaras, he is an Elf from Mirkwood. He knows my other friend Halgilad. We met by chance in Celondim, I was there taking a break since I have no duties with the Riders at this point in time.
I have found Telfaras to be most kind. We have met a few times and spoke of many things. He has even given me some lessons in using a bow. I am most grateful for this as my skills in archery are not the best. One day I hope to build up my skills and be as proficient as my parents.
Telfaras and Halgilad have business in Mirkwood shortly. I may not see them in quite a while. Telfaras gifted me three of the finest Elven arrows. I will treasure them, they are beautifully crafted. I gifted him my dagger. I hope that he will never forget me, as I will never forget him.
I have made a new friend who like the others, shall be most dear to me. All my friends are treasured and I shall do anything for them. If they are ever in harm's way, I shall protect them. Always.
