After Helcaraxë

This is an image of Valendion enjoying a little warmth after escaping the frozen wastes of Helcaraxë long before his eyes turned black - many, many years ago when they were still blue. His hair is longer here than the images of him during the time of Gondolin because it was painted not long after their escape (and naturally the last thing he'd worry about then is cutting his hair). He was not as somber back then as he is now, or even as he was in Gondolin after the deaths of Fingolfin and Fingon.
