(Chapter 3)
''He is gone! The orcs finished him while the rest of us had our chance to flee.. Don't cry like a pathetic child, arm yourself, for no one is going to save you this time and you are going with me, its by time you take your place''
''NO! Dont try to trick me, he cant be dead..'' Forelire's voice almost broke over as the words left her, her mother just looked at her with a emotionless expression, expecting her daughter to follow her demands and Forelire somehow felt she knew the expression too well, considered she hadn't seen this woman for almost a millennium.
Even through her desperate state of mind, it didn't took long for her to realize it; This was the sight that meet all that tried to get close at her, like her mother she rarely made any difference between people who wanted to befriend her and the enemies that would kill her, the treatment had always been the same.. All was met with a heart covered in cold walls of pain and anger, there had no hold in the reality before her..
''Forget it.. I find him myself, you clearly got better things to do than search for your lost love ..After all, it looks better if you don't worry too much, since we never were good enough to be your family anyway. Enjoy your life, 'mother'' For first time in her life, Forelire felt a heavy burden being left from her heart, never before had she managed the courage to tell her mother the ugly truth, but there was no Ada to keep her temper down this time and after so long time, it had to be said. ''Don't bother looking for me, you will not find me. Goodbye''
Shock and sadness fought for the control over the older elf woman, but no words found its way to her lips, nothing could kill the truth of her daughters words and no movement was made as Forelire picked her bow from the leaf covered ground, silent leaving behind the ruins of what once had been the Centrum of her life and the mother who had been her protection against a cruel world outside the woods, even as she blended into the forest around her, she didn't look back, there was no need, her mother would already be gone.
The sun sneaked down between the heavy branches of the trees and covered the small cave entrance in brilliant morning glow, the plants that had once just concealed it from sight had finally conquered the little home, her father hadn't used it for quiet a while and the prints around it, was no longer of any use.
''Come on Ada.. I know you don't fall that easy...''
The forest seemed still quiet, but as the hours pass she came to realize it wasn't strange really, Mirkwood had been cleansed form the shadow that had once taken hold of it, but it was still a dangerous place with no mercy for the fools and it was with this thought in the back of her head, she sought back to the egde of the village.
Signs of battle and fire had been covered by a days rain and made it hard to find the tracks at first, but with hard earned patience she found it, wide went her eyes as she read the story of the village fate within the tracks.
The Orcs had fallen over them in pure hunger, the little village had been hidden between small mountains for ages and always proved it easier to make a stand against the enemy, but after so long the elves strength had failed.
''About a few dozen of orc for a little village.. It makes no sense...''
Refusing to accept the story from her mother, she kept searching and found a distance from there the remains of a wood medallion, the center of the battle had never been in the village, traps and arrows covered the ground around her.. ''Why didn't i see it right away...?'' Her father had been all alone in the defense, left behind by even her mother...
