Telfaras' Journal - Page 5

*Telfaras takes out his tattered journal, placing it upon the table next to a new book that is golden-bound and scattered with Mallorn Leaves. He carefully copies his extracts into the book using the finest handwriting.*

I have now decided that I should record my thoughts and adventures in a newer book so that perhaps one day, other people will read them.

Many things have happened of late. I have informed my Tur of my engagment to Lady Gwenbur of the Mark, to which he kindly accepted the favours I asked him to do for me. One, to perform the ceremony itself.. the other, to be there as my closest freind. We set out for Duillond from our Kin Hall, so that Andarne could meet my love. Which he did, and thankfully gave her his blessing. For which I am most grateful.

*smiles and dips the quill into the vial of ink*

It is all ready, I am to marry Gwen at the celebration area of Falathlorn, not far from my new, and first real home. We shall then retire to my kin house for the celebration after the ceremony itself.

Gwen and I set out towards Falathlorn just days ago, in search of somewhere to settle down. Which we found in the utmost perfect location, sectioned off and next to the waterfall of Pel-e-Maenas. We now have a house, which we plan to move into properly once the wedding is over. at Six, Waterbank-Road.

*Smiles again and leaves a gap before continuing, indicating a new topic*

I have also informed a fellow kinsman, he did not take to the information well but I stood up to him, letting him know I was fully dedicated to my decision. Though he had much authority over me and accused me of thinking of myself over my kin.

Not moments after Tiolas stormed out, making for Rivendell to discuss my news there, did Andarne turn to me, a slight smile creepig over his face. After we exchanged bows of our heads, we set off to Celondim together, we spoke of much there, to do with everything in general.

*grins widely and dips the quill in the ink*

As our conversation seemed to be coming to a halt, Andarne turned to me, smiling once more. Unsure of why he was like this, I questioned his mood. To which he told me something important needed to happen. After smiling once more, he spoke softly, informing me that a promotion was due, and I was made an Officer of The Malledhrim. This made me very happy, as the kin means very much to me and to advance further up the ranks is an honour.

With new duties to attend to, and new authority to wield, myself and Andarne set out towards the Trollshaws, in search of a small pass, in which Andarne had not been in many years, and strangely, one I knew nothing about. Upon our arrival, we gathered our bearings, and I made a few notes and changes to my map of the region and we set off homeward again.

*sighs happily and turns the page, dipping the quill in the vial of ink*

I have returned to Gwen now, and I am happy, very happy. I only hope now, that She and I will live hapily with one another and for the rest of our days. I also am glad to have Andarne there, he is now a great freind of mine, and means very much to me. The little time we spend in each others company is official, yet freindly.

<There is a rugged leather strap stuck to the page, labelled 'Hontimûrz'>

*signs his name in the bottom corner, imprints his signet with wax from his ring, hidden under his tunic on a chain and closes the golden book gently, stroking the cover and slips it away*
