The scent of soot hung heavily in the late morning mist that still clung to the landscape as Alkawen rounded the corner and stepped onto the grounds of the Order. She and her hounds went inside to wait. The Lady had requested Lindovor and Turgur to join her at the Manor. While Iaurmenel Alkawen awaited the two Knights of the Order, she collected a long length of muslin cloth from the stores, folded it neatly and hung it over one arm.
Earlier that morning, she had made rounds to ascertain the condition of both Order members and their guest. Wulfthred's wounds were going to take some time to heal but Alkawen was confident that Hir Galadhad's treatment of the heroic Man's wounds would result in full healing and very little, if any, scaring. Fortunately, Turgur had been able to rest and heal over the past two days. She would need his assistance.
Lindovor was first to arrive, Turgur following only minutes behind the older Man. Suggesting the three walk outdoors, Alkawen walked down the pathway from the entrance, into the street then stopped at the overlook to the village's pond where she began to speak of those things that had been weighing as heavily on her mind as heavily as the smell of burnt Inn had been hanging in the air that morning.
Fairlain had still not arrived in Arrowhaven and it had been too many days since last the Lady had heard from of of her. It was there, at the overlook, that Iaurmenel asked her trusted friend and knight of the order, Lindovor, to prepare to a search party and to take with him, any of the Order as he needed. It was her hope that Turgur would volunteer to accompany Lindovor. Knowing Turgur thought the fire at the Inn threatened the Grandmaster and her most trusted, the Council of the Seven, she suspected, knew in fact, he would feel his duty would be to stay by her side. Lindovor, one of the Council, needed Turgur's sword arm more than she.
After much deliberation, which was both expressed verbally and visually, Turgur decided to volunteer to join Lindovor's quest to find the missing Septarian, Fairlain. Alkawen urged they make haste and that Lindovor may request the aid of any other member as he felt he may need. The two Men of the Order, took their leave of the hiril as she gave them her blessing with promises from the search party to keep her informed.
