Journey to Rivendell - Entry 2

I arrived at Ost Guruth by nightfall, which means it took me about to days to cross the Lone-Lands. After my incident near the Weather Hills, I decided to travel without stopping towards this place. So far, this doesn't look like such a bad place at all. I mean, the folk is as sad as the one at that inn where I stayed, but at least there are more of them, and it is always nice to see someone. I think I'll rest here for a bit and ask for directions, before heading towards the Last Bridge.

According to the Grey Warden, it seems that my real problems are about to begin now. I thought that the most dangerous part of my journey was to cross the Lone-Lands, but it seems that all kinds of beasts roam free on the Trollshaws. And of course, the trolls. Whatever that is. "Bears, wolves and much more lay on the path to Rivendell.", he said. I'm used to bears and wolves, maybe I'll get a good hunt out of it too, but nevertheless I still fear what I might encounter.

Another thing that resurected my smile upon my arrival was a letter from Xeplemen. It was good hearing how are tidings back in Bree. Of course, coming from him, it had to be fun to read. The man lost a finger and almost his eye, he said. He and Falarthin got involved in some kind of trouble. It doesn't impress me anymore I must say, coming from those two.

But Xeple wrote something that is going through my mind recently. He said that when a bounty is put up to someone, friends get too greedy. Do you think that the man I'm pursuing, a so called friend, would kill me to hand my head to the corsairs, just for some gold? Bah, who the heck am I talking to? This is stupid, I'm going to have a drink.
