Meadowyn, the daughter of Meadred

Of Meadred's children, Meadowyn was his first daughter who came only a few years after Meadwine's birth. The two grew up together and grew close bonds, so close that Meadowyn too followed in her bother's foot steps, and sought to be a shield-maiden who would fight at this side. With some difficulty she achieved her desire.

   But that is not all that she achieved. She is fearsome soldier, her sword arm spares no quarter for her foes and she fights as though a fire was kindled hot within her. Some have said that she is no longer herself once her sword is drawn; but a fearsome beast with a sharp look in her eyes that will pierce through your heart ere her blade comes through it - people speak many things however. Yet this does not fall short of the truth, and she, in truth, is a potent adversary to be matched against. And with Meadwine often at her side the two have done many great deeds upon the field of battle, and shown stout hearts even in dread of the threat of defeat.
