Four walls, a floor, and a ceiling. White tiles, white tiles, white tiles. Two wooden chairs; one is broken, splintered into multiple pieces. A toilet hole in the corner.
It's impossible to tell how long it has been; there was not a single window within the room. The door was made of thick, thick metal of a sort, impossible for her to open from the inside. Impossible waiting, so much that she found herself bored, though the only thing that waited on happening was the appearance of Gerwolf himself, and the rare visit from Levarris and the old ranger. Would she rather sit in silence; white, blinding silence; or be told more of how she'd be hung?
A bitter laugh escapes her lips, it's a short sound cut off by the lack of sound being able to travel elsewhere. The room was big in itself, more long than anything, but any noise cut quickly in the eight dead corners. Ebold and his men had left her, and as bored as she quickly became, she'd rather that than listen to what they had to say. The questions he had to ask her were as easy as just saying no; the ranger would not let them strike her to force information. But the ranger, too, had plenty of information to offer—it was the simple issue of where they could find the members of Indignation that they suffered.
Ten gold for a member alive; eight for their head. It must be nice to know you're worth so much, Zurich. The words rang in her head, and it was a pounding fear of not what would happen to her, but the others. Man would go great lengths to acquire so much gold for the capture of a few people, and if warning couldn't get to the others...
But surely, it already had: Ann herself had come and spoken to Zurich, by the side of Levarris, to Zurich's confusion and fear, believing at first she must have been caught. When she spoke, it took Zurich through a night(it was easier to pretend she knew day and night, for the sake of sanity) to understand what exactly she had said, why she was there. Lady...Elodiel. Annsuel. The same, an alias, but also true identity—Levarris knew who she truly was, but still protected her. Ann promised rescue, Levarris promised hanging.
Too young to strike, old enough to hang.
