So now I am officially a guard to the Lady Aellwenn. I'm going to do my best and do my duty, but I'm so worried! I'm not sure I'm good enough with my sword.
Last night I had a vivid and frightening dream. I dreamed that I was in my new red and gold guard's armour, but it started growing until it was much too big for me, and it was so heavy I couldn't move! And Lady Aellwenn was calling out to me to help her with something, and I could not move to help her, and then the armour got so big I was running around inside it, unable to escape! And as I'm running around inside this giant metal labyrinth I can hear my Ladyship's voice calling out to me, and she sounds angry and frightened.
So I woke up thinking: today I'd better practice with my sword!
At least I'm good with my bow, and I'm fast, so that's something. And my new uniform does make me look fearsome, so hopefully that will help me scare any potential troublemakers away.
Ithilvalan has said she'll help me improve my bow skills. I wonder if she'll help me with sword practice too?
