The Book of the Twelve - Page 2 - The Clergy

In the Faith of the Twelve the aggression found in most races is understood and therefore all members of the clergy is referred to as War Clerics, as they ride into battle with weaponry on the side the gods deem they should take. These War Clerics are known to be guided by Tuvnos himself when riding into battle and shall therefore prevail or die honorably securing their ascent into the night sky to hold up a torch for those wandering in the dark on Middle Earth. Though ascending to the sky is a battle in itself, and some fail making the climb resulting in what is known as a shooting star, a hero falling off the sky.

The War Clerics will go through vigorous training of body as well as mind, leading them to be able to fight as well as speak for the faith. When riding into battle you will usually hear them crying out the call of Tuvnos "Holding the line where no one else dared draw it.", though shouts for other gods and goddesses can be heard as well, usually being one of the twelve sayings.

The Clergy is usually trained from a young age, but any person is allowed to join the faith at what time they should deem fit, hence not all War Clerics being of equal capability, as some are weaker in their faith than others. Each member of the Clergy is to know of all and preach about all the gods on equal terms, even if they do hold one of the gods to be their patron.

The Clergy is not allowed to marry, own house or own significant amounts of coin. There is no rules against drinking, but it is often considered ill advised to drink too much.

Usually divided into ranks following the order of acolyte - brother - elder.
