More Precious Than Emeralds

She had her secrets, many of them in fact.  One was her ability to impart unusual attributes to pieces of metal and gems that she could fashion into what looked like decorative objects.  Rings, bracelets, brooches and pendants were all well within her skills as a jeweler. 

As Lyfrid wrapped her latest creation in crisp parchment and readied it for the post, she placed the scribbled note for the receiver of the rare ornament and tucked it inside with the pendant.  After leaving the package with the postman, she gathered the last of her things in a large tapestry bag, tied it to her horse then turned it into the road.  Her heading, Arrowhaven and the room she had secured from her newest employer.
