A wind flows in the instant that the man is walking in the midst of the great forest of the Trollshaws. His arms and the upper mid of his body are involved by bandages wet by blood and washed by the rain that falls upon the place. His hair messy, stained by the dry blood that impregnated him like days ago, his face dirty and with a messy beard, showing with more intensity both scars that crosses both eyes, with his dark circles more dark, his eyes that was staring at nowhere, red, lost in the mist of a memory that disappeared days ago, but being present even today; his two-handed sword rests on its huge sheath, hold by a belt that crosses his body.
He walks alone, in the midst of a great forest of the Trollshaws, his eyes seems that saw Sauron itself, but in reality he saw worse than that...
Ten Days Ago
Ostergo opened the letter, which its remittent was Fiontann, his friend and voice of reason. The letter wished his best luck on his search, and the hope to see him again happy. Ostergo smiled and sighs, watching the hilt of his sword, the emerald provided by his loved one, the reason of the dangerous expedition that he was doing. He goes to the Last Homely House inn, lying down in one of the beds and with both eyes closed, he finally gives his time to rest.
A lake that shines in the dark, a ruins that serves as a traveler’s refugee, he and her, with their arms crossed to one another, and sharing the heat of his body in a cool night of winter. Both of them around the heat of a fire that are in front of them. He's smiling, but she's silent, he asked to her: - "Why are you that sad? Do you have any problem?” She simply smiles and gives a kiss to his lips, and after that, she remains silent for some seconds. He leaves a faint smile while he approaches his lips to her cheek and kisses her, saying "Don't worry, everything will be fine, I know that the journey will be dangerous, but I'll be at your side even the day of your death... Rosie, I love you, and I'm sure that you are capable enough to hold such responsibility." She just smiles and gets closer to him, and he hugs her, stroking his neck with his head.
He opened his eyes and a man is in front of him. A sharp nose, scrawny cheeks, a scar crossing his brow and a gruesome smile. He says mischievously "Hey buddy! Long time we didn't met!” Ostergo blinks as he wakes up slowly saying to him:
- "Umm... who are you?"
- I'm fine, and you? You are not happy to see me again?
- I-I could be happy if I knew who you are... Or maybe I forgot that, oh I'm really sorry if that happened, sometimes my mind-.
The man starts grins mischievously at him and with a hand on Ostergo's shoulder he said: - "Do you have any trouble?"
- In fact... - said Ostergo, but he stares at the man curiously - Do we met before? I mean... your face is familiar...
-Remind that night in the Forsaken Inn, when you almost spilled all the beer to the ground because it had a tail of a rat on it?.
-Umm... actually you were not there... but I guess...
-Yeah, anyway, what brings you here?
- I'm on a journey to find someone, really personal.
- Ah! An old revenge that you want to do? A mission of kidnapping?
- What? No! It just... I miss someone and-
-Oh! Poor guy! Don't worry, we are on the same thing. I'm finding someone too.
-Can you help me? Is a woman… uh… pale skin, short hair, blonde, and scar crossing her cheek. Her name is Rosiebell.
The man frowns as he takes from his bag a pipe and starts to smoke. Ostergo's looks him for a while. He's with a fisherman suit, a large and curved sword on his sheath and the moneybag in his other side of the belt. After some seconds, he looks at him and grins to Ostergo "I saw her, she's near Eregion."
Ostergo's eyes blinked and smiles greatly: "Oh! Is wonderful to hear that! Can you go with me to her?” The man blows the smoke of his pipe to Ostergo and smiled saying "It will be a pleasure, then you will help me to find that man, alright?” Ostergo nods and says to him before carrying his bag with all his stuff "Excuse me, I don't really have a name, but call me Ostergo. What is your name anyway?"
-What a coincidence! Let me say that I don't remember my name as well, but you can call me Nergelt.
