I am still in shock at the event that transpired a couple of days ago. I received an urgent summons by Andarne, to which I promptly responded to.
I made my way to the headquarters, to find my beloved standing behind me looking none too pleased. I feared I had done something wrong. He lead me inside and sternly asked me to stand upon the rug next to the stage. I did not expect what happened after that. He explained that a few of us had deserted their positions, including one of our own officers. The position needed to be fulfilled. He appointed it to me! I could not believe what I was hearing. I have not been serving The Malledhrim long, plus I have very little experience. I am young, too.
Tinuvinil is an officer, I could not believe I was to be on the same level as he. Of course though, as usual duty comes before my personal feelings. I accepted the position and will fulfill it with honour. I just hope, that my love's relationship with me did not affect his decision. If I am to rise in ranks, I wish to be worthy of it. I do not wish to be Caun for the sole reason I am betrothed to my Tur.
However I am happy, happy that my leader and beloved is satisfied with what I do. I hope to never let him, or my kindred down. My job is to find new recruits. Find them I shall.
