Background
Originally founded as an Order of knights, hoping to bring an end to the injustice and corruption of Bree, it was soon discovered that said corruption had begun to manifest amongst its ranks. The Order slowly split into two factions: those that still supported the knight-commander's ideals of chivalry and honour, and those that thought such ideals to be a hindrance when dealing with Bandits, and other such criminals. The conflict betwixt the two oppositions only grew, and both sides disapproved of the captain's failure to confront the situation...and so he was murdered.
Neither following knows the full story, for only their leaders were witnesses to the event, and so both point the finger at the other. Soon, the warring clique that had abandoned the Order's earlier standard prevailed over the other, and drove them from Bree. These outcasts began to regroup, taking refuge in the Blue Mountains of Ered Luin. The Exiles strive now to topple the shadier Remnant, and the Remnant will not tolerate this assault long without retaliating.
Who will emerge victorious?
OOC: When joining the Kinship, you will be given a choice to join either the Remnant Faction, or the Exiles Faction (You may change sides at any time, but it must be done ICly) . The former of these is led by the Lady Dieudonnae Hughes and Bucta Wolfpine, and its purposes vary greatly depending on the member to whom you speak. The latter is led by "Sir" Damric Sarrell and Robynwen, and it struggles to eliminate the Remnant, for many reasons. Namely, the death of their captain. Once a Faction is chosen, you will be asked to write your Character Biography, and will be promoted to the rank of Kinsman/woman. Promotions after Kinsman/woman are to be decided by the Officers, and will depend on IC and OOC efforts, how active you are, and time spent in the Kinship.
