A letter from a friend

Dearest,
Captain Yisabelle Blackboar,

Regrettably, I've found myself too preoccupied to contact you directly - however, I did find the time to write down the events that transpired the other night (I hope to save you the trouble of having I re-write it)

In the hour just before midnight, I came into contact with the man called, "Ash" the name was obtained during a previous encounter with the man, not that evening). Ash was in the company of an unfamiliar, excitable blonde woman, who's name eludes me.

I overheard the two walking about purchasing a guard dog (A detail learned later on to simply be a ruse).
Being directly in the business of training dogs, I offered the man to follow me to the kennel, where I would show him the dogs. The blonde woman stated that she would follow, but did not show up.

Ash came back with me to the Kennel, where the transaction seemed to go normally - he purchased Anders, a Breeish born brown guard dog. As I went outside to remove a large bag of moist, thrown out cuts of meat (intended for the dogs) I was greeted by two women (probably). The first tried to strike me with a spear, which instead penetrated the bag of meat. The second uttered a shout, the pitch too high to be man. Once I turned, the meat flung from the bag (Ash was covered, may still smell like meat) and the shouting woman tossed some sort of sand, or something similar into my eyes.

They would have probably killed me, had Ash not grown some sort of conscious. He called off the other two (Indicating his leadership among them) and told me he couldn't fight a blind woman. When asked why he attacked, he stated simply that I was, "Not one of our favorite people." (This bit does point strongly towards the group of assassins I have come to despise. Once this is confirmed, you can bet they'll have hell to pay)

After this, oddly enough, he gave me a gold coin (the value of which I am still testing) and returned the dog he bought..

- Additional details

The attacker with the spear, was a smaller person, would have been fairly unassuming without a hood or mask on.

The attacker with the unknown powder was a woman with a high pitched, excitable voice.

Ash, is a known associate of Hawk, and his family. I strongly believe the little girl, Morrigon, will be able to help is find him, as well as many of his associates.

As for if the link between Ash, and those other assassins - Circumstantially, this is probably accurate; however I cannot confirm it beyond reasonable doubt.

I will contact you again if I obtain more information. Until then, I hope this helps.
