A proper use of the bow

It was a beautiful and early morning and Lanthonvir, now back where he belong woke with the first rays of the sun as it crept up on the sky over the grounds of Thaladuin. He rose up quickly from the bed and took up his own bow, inspecting it for a brief moment before slinging it upon his back, his belt with the sword in its sheath is on the side of his bed, swiftly he buckles it around himself and makes for the outdoors and towards the armory to inspect the bows they have in the armoury.

After a short time inspecting the bows he smiles for himself as the bows are of good quality and makes for the exit of the armoury and makes his way towards the barracks to wake the archers up for the training. "Alright men! On your feet" he yells as he enters the barracks, his usually normal tone gone and instead being replaced by a harsh tone as a smile comes to him when he sees the men scramble up and out of the beds and into their armour and out the door to stand and wait for the exercise to begin.

"Alright men! You all know who I am, even if I do not know all of you. Todays exercise will test your skills with the bow and it will...I repeat it will make you into better archers" he yells to them as he paces back and forth in front of them "It has come to my knowledge...that you men..are archers...when I am done with you...all shall fear House Thaladuins archers!"  he yells out, overlooking them, as the men cheers he smiles to them and gestures for them to take their bows and prepare. The men scramble to pick up their bows, perhaps a bit intimidated by the elf yelling at them, non the less they ready themselves up with their bows and quivers.

"Alright men! I need to know what I have to work with", his voice thundering out in the quiet morning, "Take aim men" as he points on targets some distance away, not knowing if they would be able to hit or not hit "Fire on my command and fire as a group men!", he yells at them and then raises his hand and then quickly lowering it again and watches the archers fire, not as a group yet, he did not expect them to do so as he looks towards the targets, seeing that they are able to hit the target "Good..very good but its far from perfect and my lord demands perfection in his ranks!" , as he gently unslings his bow from his back and nocks an arrow and takes aim to one of the targets and release the arrow, it hits the target in the dead center "That is perfection men and I expect to see so from you as well once we are done for today"  he gently rests his bow on the barracks and turns to the men again "Alright fall into for lines, line one you may nock your arrows when ready! After you fired, take one step forward and kneel, line two its then your turn, nock your arrows as line one fires, then do the same as line one did and line three follows and then line four! Understood!? Fire as one line men! Line one take aim! Fire!"  he yells as he watches the men do as they where told, now firing as as group for every line.

The day passed on and he kept drilling the men in the arts of archery, seeing that they improved themselves as the day progressed, not letting the men know anything of what he thought, he would save that for the report he was going to make to his lord and Sir Alwig. The man kept following his orders all into the late night, learning to shoot arrows that were lit on fire first, Lanthonvirs methods might have been seen cruel by some of the men but none complained about it to him, not yet... as he called out "Alright men,  take your bow and quiver and get some sleep, we have reached perfection for you" and pointed at the targets, riddled with arrows, not scattered arrows as it was at the start of the day, one of the men was brave enough to step up to him and the man said to him "Look here knife-ear...all day you have done nothing but shouted at us...making us do what you want us to do so do yourself and us a favor and beat it, go in to Bree and find you a girl or a cow". Lanthonvir simply stood there in front of the man listening to his words before he himself took to words again "Knife-ear you say? And you want me to get away from here and in to Bree...where I should seek out a girl to fool around with or a cow for that matter? You have earned yourself to go on report to sir Alwig" as he shakes his head and points to the barrack "Anyone else sharing this mans thoughts may step forth now!" none did do such and they marched towards the barracks, even the man that called him "knife-ear"

Lanthonvir picked up his bow and placed it where it belonged, on his back and went towards the estate to write his report to lord Gerwolf and sir Alwig.
