Searching for Brammy, finding a giant

Here we are again, camping somewhere in the snow, having tended to the wounded and trying to get some rest. Brammy is nowhere to be found yet, though we found a giant, too bad we had to kill him! As I look at them now I can feel their doubt about my decision back then, we just had found a shelter from the blizzard and I took Brammy and Lucifen out again to complete the final part of the task. The moment we dragged the toolbox those acursed Warg-riders came and caught him. I can even see the could of doubts about my leadership flowing among them, but I know why I did it.

Since we started this journey not everyone obeys my orders, despite knowing that each decision is made for the greater good of the company, so, to set an example I randomly took these two with me back in the blizzard in search for the toolbox. I wanted to show that as I each time respect their needs they must respect my decisions, if not there will be consequences, and we aren't in Bree... They won't dig or run laps around the Dawnhall, here the punishment is much more harsh. So I took those two to show that rest can wait, as I usually wait for them to do what I command while they linger aimlessly...

Maybe now that a life is at stake they will understand that when I say let's leave immediately and get ready. Maybe what I did was wrong, maybe I should wait for the blizzard to pass, but I deemed that I waited long enough... For everyone to be ready... But enough of that, I had my reasons to do it and I did it, now it's time to find him, I will abandon no man!

We were discussing about how Brammy got caught when Rogue appeared, as always he ventured away, looking for tracks, but he found none, as if he would... His tongue is much sharper than his senses I'm afraid... After he informed me I saw the Grey Warden shaking his head, and I knew why... Now it was his turn to go outside while we were making ready to leave. And he found tracks... I would expect to less of him, the tracks lead South, towards the Giant Halls, I have never heard of that place before but apparently they say there lived or live Giants there... And it's time for us to find out.

And we did... Sooner than I expected... We heard footsteps from afar, causing the earth to shake... Then wind blew towards the source of the sound and the steps became a run... I can only guess that the wind carried our scent to him... His footsteps made us lose our balance and Teleyn fall down the cliff, the Grey Warden jumped down after her and I took the path around banging the sword on my shield to distract the monster. Luckily I kept him away from the two for enough time for those on the cliff to start attacking him. The fight was fierce and Rogue managed to get him on his knees, giving the opportunity to the Grey Warden to climb on him. The giant angered grabbed Taala but our unity, the otehrs attacking and I distracting him gave her the chance to break free from his grasp. Another round of arrows ensued and the Giant got angry and fell on the rock with all his weight, one moment before the Grey Warden drove his sword in the Giant's temple, killing him. But the collision made the cliff shake and Rogue and Lucifen fell from the cliff, they lied down senseless and we started healing all as fast as possible until more footsteps started being heard... A second giant... We helped the injured ones and rushed away, with as much speed as we could gain.

We continued South, towards some tress, to seek shelter there, and here I saw her... It was Faelyne, the girl I met weeks ago in the Prancing Pony and escorted her to Rivendell, she's in the Warband of Imladris and now she was there with a camp and her bow to help... I can't be more grateful to the Warband for their help so far... We warmed ourselves near the fire and Faelyne went to hunt, again Rogue showed that his mouth is bigger than his skills, despite being hit he continued talking and saying what he wanted to be done. Which tired me greatly... He's not like his kin at all... Rangers are usually serious and do not state their opinion unless necessary or the right one, but he.. He always states his opinion as if he knows everything... Always trying to be in the center of attention... Much like a noble... And I grew tired of him, so I gave up helping him, I lied him near the fire and left him there, his wounds were tended after all.

Soon Faelyne returned dragging a deer, I could see everyone looking slyly so I started skinning it and cut the meat. I cooked while they were tending to one another and found why she was out here, to help us she said... It was fortunate to find her, now we will continue the trip together, and after finding Brammy we will return to Rivendell. Food, a little whiskey, my pipe and great company around the fire. As time goes by the company unites more and more, we fight much more coordinated and each one helps the other, even the Grey Warden sits and walks nearer than he did when we started. I'm proud of everyone, they didn't think of abandoning Brammy even for a moment, they cooperate and look at each other as they should, as companions, as family even.

Now I must stop writing I think, and take a look at them, they sleep but I want to make sure everyone is well and didn't freeze, my thoughts are with Chaney, I didn't forget her for a moment. I'm looking forward to seeing her again, after making sure everyone gets safely back. I will send Aingen to the Dwarves tomorrow, so that they send the horses to another place, as we won't pass by that place again, and then I will send him to the Dawnhall, to inform the others how the Campaign is going. But until then I will put the paper and quill down and check the others, luckily we have time till the sun comes out, I hope Brammy is alright... I will slay each goblin and warg we encounter till we get him back... I will scatter their maimed bodied on the road and paint the snow red from their blood!
