The Songs of Fallidir

Down by the reeds Down by the reeds, Down by the reeds, The great ships are coming, Down by the reeds, Long way to go, Long way from home, The great ships of Gondor, Will carry me home, The white gulls do cry, The soldiers do sigh, Their wives and their children, Are calling them home, Down by the reeds, Those cursed reeds, The soldiers of Gondor, Can never go home. The hour of Darkness The time has passed, The land is Black, No one is asked, To ever come back, The East wind is foul, The West wind is fair, We men go to war, With so little care, Some live, Some die, Some believe, They can fly, Most come and they go, But life is no-longer what they know... The Lost, Broken and Betrayed Those who are lost shall be found. That which is broken, can be mended. A betrayal will be revenged. Memories go on. When there are people to remember. Not all tears are caused by evil. But all tears carry an evil sting. Tears for those lost. Tears for those found. Tears for things broken. Until all tears are spent. But do not cry for me. As time goes on and so should we. Those who are lost cannot be found. That which is broken, can be mended, unless it is the heart of a fool. A betrayal, will not be revenged if it has been caused by the one said to be betrayed. So forth do the times go on. Until the memories are lost. (the next poem was written as a lament to a dwarven freind) The Furnace goes out The furnace goes out, The hammer put down, The sword is now broken, The blade cannot be found, Rest easy my friend, Your furnace goes out.
