Streets of Bree

I was walking towards the East Gate of Bree, for I had business there at the Market Place. The night was calm and wheather fair, though it was late. I had passed the town hall and kept following the street down towards the Auction House.
I passed a town guard with a hound in tow, a few people went home and another few stopped by the Town Hall. I and an ood looking fellow, which I deemed to be be from the north continued onwards.
Suddenly, a whistle and a low voice was called, "You there, come here". I turned towards the man; looking at the black cloaked fellow, who only revealed his eyes in his attire. I then repled, "Greetings, I am Duinn Muninn's son, at your service", and bowed in curstey, and awaiting the man's reply in favour. I waited awkwardly until I enquired, "I have told you my name, good master what is yours? I said, but no bow or friendly greeting was to be returned.
"My name is not important but you handing over your coins is, if you please" the man said in a low voice. Looking intently at me.

I gripped the hilt of my sword and declined the man, "you best be off before someone gets hurt, good master!", I said. Then man looked hesistant at first but then said, "No one needs to get harmed here, just give me your coin".
"No!" I said sternly,  "I will not give you my coin. You can try", I said with a raised voice, "Many have!" I said even louder then pierced the eye of thug, "They tried and died!".
I drew my sword and pointed it at the man. who looked very surprised and stepped back.

Then from the bushes came a second man running at me, but failed as I raised my sword to his advance. "Woah! No need for weapons here, just your gold and we'll be on our way. We don't want to harm you", he exclaimed slyly. I now drew out my axe from under my cloak. Now I had a weapon in both hands.
"Best that you and your friend be off, there'll sooner be someone injured than any gold exchanged." They tried to surround me, but I kept resisting and thwarted their attempts to flank me.

Then two more men arrived exclaiming, "Is there some trouble about?". To this I   hesitated nothing, every approach of their was met with a swing of a sword or axe, with myself moving backwards down the street to protect my back and sides.
I goaded them, "Come on! Let's have it!", I said in a loud voice, they looked confused and  hesitant, they looked at each other, said something indiscernible then they started backing off, I looked until they had disappeared into the dark of the night, then I myself carried on towards the East Gate. I met a town guard and informed him, but like much of folk in Bree he seemed unconcerned, when asked to see to the matter,"Them again? Sure."
For myself I like not be charged with murder in the streets of Bree, best this fellows be put in jail or banished ere they end in the cold ground.
