Bandits - Part 2

Part 2

The cold air nipped as Taala closed the door to Seaver's house behind her. Misty her horse greeted her with a shake of his head.  Bracing herself she headed over to him and ran her hand down his muzzle affectionately whilst murmuring softly to him in her native tongue.  She swung herself up onto his bare back and nudged him towards Towerglan, recanting the events of the previous day, somewhat hurriedly, sorting them in some semblance of sense and order...

Foxwin had asked her to pick up the skins from Chetwood and deliver the orders he'd fulfilled for Neyaa.  He was catching up, working tirelessly, to make up the time lost due to her constantly distracting him from his work. Taala and Foxwin worked and played together.  He had made such a success of Bramble Leatherworks that he had moved to larger premises. He had installed a forge so that Taala could work alongside him making armour and expand her knowledge into saddle and harness making.  At times she was more of a hindrance than an asset, in particular when she dragged him off to Evendim and promised she would secure an extension with Neyaa for the rather large order she had placed with Foxwin for saddles.  Taala knew Neyaa would not agree easily to the extension, just as she knew Foxwin would put his work before a venture, so she simply did not have the conversation with Neyaa.  Life is for living...

Foxwin and Taala, had a strange relationship, they both knew it was toxic and she was very bad for him, as did his brother Brammy, who was doing his level best to get Taala out of his brother's life...  Taala, had tried to do the right thing and leave Foxwin alone, but she simply could not... it was more complicated than that.

Foxwin had failed to mention the broken wheel on his wagon...  Taala gave it an angry and frustrated kick when she saw the wagon was useless.  The only other man she knew with a wagon was SeaverSeaver was not at home when she called around the first time, but she was well known to his guardsman, particularly the Eorling, and she easily got around them... before long Misty was harnessed to the uncovered Wagon and she tapped the reins and set off.

She would collate several jobs together, deliver the saddles and harnesses from Foxwin to Neyaa, collect the skins and leather from the lumber camp, and deliver the furniture she had bought Seaver as a gift for his new larger house...ha!...how could Seaver really object to her 'borrowing' the wagon, when she was doing a kind deed...besides she'd have it back before he even knew it was gone...or so she thought...
