Rider of the Mark

With Éomer, the Third Marshal of the Mark currently away from the Wold, the training and promotion has been charged to Harding, Aldor of the Eastment and Thane of Harwick. After days of training, more dire news come from all parts of Rohan: orcs are attacking towns and riders are needed everywhere.

After weeks of training, Harding promotes the first Éored with the new recruits, urgently needing men to patrol the East wall. Scouts have reported more orcs entering the Mark from the East, and the Aldor considers stopping them a priority.

Among the new recruits that form this Éored is Anadryt. He is surrounded by a band of brothers and has already become a respected figure in the company, even if there are men that have been training in Harwick for longer than he has. He has proven to be a great rider and a charismatic leader. Harding and Éofor, Captain of his Éored have noticed this and promoted him and a few more men a in a private ceremony. He is to become an officer if a replacement is needed.

Anadryt is enjoying this, and can't wait for a chance to return to Thornhope and make the orcs that destroyed his hometown pay. But he is also getting worried about Rhia. She hasn't been promoted to his Éored, for her riding skills still need to improve. On top of this, her muteness and small figure have make her a target of mockery between her division. If Rhia can't find a solution, then her husband will.
