- A Winter's Tale
- by
- Immalaine Tattersoll
- The majesty of winter night.
- The chill of air, the pale starlight.
- A glistening rug of pure white snow.
- A whispered breeze through trees does blow.
- The song of ice, like tinkling bells.
- The silence of the snow that fell.
- The whispers of the restless wind,
- Beneath the stars that never end.
- And as I wander to and fro,
- To leave my footprints in the snow,
- I listen to the tale unfold,
- Like music in the midnight cold.
- A winter's tale in symphony,
- Committed into memory.
- And when the warm of spring does come,
- The winter's tale, again, is done.
