A Winter's Tale

  • A Winter's Tale
  • by
  • Immalaine Tattersoll
  •
  • The majesty of winter night.
  • The chill of air, the pale starlight.
  • A glistening rug of pure white snow.
  • A whispered breeze through trees does blow.
  •
  • The song of ice, like tinkling bells.
  • The silence of the snow that fell.
  • The whispers of the restless wind,
  • Beneath the stars that never end.
  •
  • And as I wander to and fro,
  • To leave my footprints in the snow,
  • I listen to the tale unfold,
  • Like music in the midnight cold.
  •
  • A winter's tale in symphony,
  • Committed into memory.
  • And when the warm of spring does come,
  • The winter's tale, again, is done.
