It has been quite a long day.
We left just after dusk yesterday and went along the road of Chetwood towards the northern Weatherhills.
The mission is simple. Find out what information you can find about the staff in Ost Alagos, avoid combat and keep one another safe.
I set off my journey with four companions.
First there is Aeonidd. A man who I know not well but seems like a very reasonable and kind man. He fights well and has a strong defense. He did however appear a tad annoyed to me.. or perhaps conflicted. I hope all is well with him for his skill of defense might be of high need soon.
Second there is Milada. New to our order but not unknown to me. An old friend from Bree she is.
A very loyal and kind woman who likes to have a drink and have a laugh. She is wild of spirit and without shame. Perhaps it is why she is so calmed of mind all the time.
Her skills lie mostly is stealth. Short blades, daggers and throwing-knifes are her preferences. Not to forget her catlike skills. She is perfect for a stealthy infiltration of Ost Alagos if needed.
Our third member is called Masrick. A man who's origin most likely lies with Gondor.
A well trained man of the wild, like myself. He needs barely any guidance and fights like a true warrior. I have met him before but back then he used a bow. He now brought a spear and blade that he uses to optimal skill.
He is also very agile which makes him , like Milada, very useful for a stealthy infiltration.
He is a kind man also and good in conversation. He is friendly to the others and knows the value of friendship... or so it seems.
And last but not least there is Mynna.
Aah yes.... Mynna. What is there to tell about her. She is kind and playful. Inspired easily by words of courage. Yet she is not a fighter. She cowers when the enemy is upon us so there is not much use for her in a combat situation. Though.... she did show me that her will to protect her friends and fellow wanderers is stronger then her fear for the enemy. She stabbed a big wolf and with that prevented further damage to my arm.
She is a scholar as well, send with us to figure out any weird forms of script we might find in Ost Alagos. She is our most important member and needs to be kept safe at all cost. Without her the entire mission is a failure.
I sit near a tree, upon a hill overlooking Ost Alagos. The first watch is mine to take, soon Masrick will show up and release me from this duty. He will take second watch and Aeonidd will take third.
After that we will have breakfast as best we can.. and then we shall plan our infiltration.
The night is cold but calm. There is not allot of wind.
Every now and then a howl emerges from the woods or something sliders through sand.
The camp we chose is safe I know it is.
Ost Alagos on the other hand is not. I can see the lights from where I sit... I see the shadows upon the inner wall that are reflected by the fire.
Orcs..... filthy creatures they are.
Soon enough we will get our chance to deal with them.....
For now... I will watch over the hillside from here. Masrick will be here very soon and then I shall join Fang and the others for some sleep.
