... It was so odd...
I cannot believe that I had forgotten it.
I was married some decades ago... I never met my husband, didn't even have a name to begin a proper search for... It was very odd indeed.
I met someone, and we went to... Duillond, I believe. Yes, that is right, for that is where I remembered my marriage. You would believe one would not forget they were married, but... I did, and I truly regret that.
So, shortly after returning to the Realm of Men from Duillond, I made haste to Rivendell, where... I began to search for the name of my husband. I found it... I really found it. The one name I was searching for...
I almost could not believe what I had seen.
But the marriage forms were there, right in front of me, his name reading plainly before my own. What made me almost not believe it was... was that it was the name of the Elf-sire I had only just met some few weeks past.
I had to find some other sort of proof to it, and thus... I found the completed 'transaction,' if you will. Once again, his name read before mine, the official seals of Mirkwood and Lorien in plain view.
I had to show him, as well... At first, he brushed it off, thinking it a farce. But... I showed him the second paper... and only then did he accept it, albeit slowly.
I still cannot believe that I had forgotten my marriage... but, I am glad I finally met him.
