| Outward Appearance | Standing at the average height for his kind, Foldon does not appear mighty in stature. Reflecting his position, Foldon's hair and beard has been grown to the length of his chest and is well-groomed, being adorned with shining metal clasps. Like many dwarrows, it is clear that he puts a considerable amount of effort in the maintenance of his beard. This is not a dwarf clad in the impressive and buky armour of his people. It is his business to represent his House, so you will find him dressed in more elegant and decorative attire. To reflect the presence of House Valantris in the Ered Luin, he has taken to wearing mostly dark blue robes and cloaks. He wears his robes with an ambience of dignity of pride, which some might interpret as arrogance. |

Background
Foldon son of Falden hails from a long line of loyal vassals to the House Valantris, a revered clan of dwarf nobility sworn to the Kings of Durin’s Folk. Although not noble themselves, Foldon’s family have been well-rewarded for their fealty throughout the years. Falden, his father, served diligently as the Steward of Lord Calgalin Valantris III. It was his honour to fall in the defence of his lord during the Battle of the Five Armies in 2941. Folden himself was considered too young to fight in the battle, but thereafter took up residence Under the Mountain, proudly serving in the household of King Daín Ironfoot himself.
Some seventy years after the Quest for Erebor, Foldon departed from the Mountain in order seek out Lord Salgalin Valantris, son of Calgalin III. Travelling westwards among merchant caravans and other questionable company, he finally arrived at the Hall of Valantris in the underground city of Ulfhirth. Recognised for the loyal service of his forefathers, Foldon was immediately named Steward. Now it is his duty to loyally serve the House, having a care for the management of the Hall of Valantris.
