Part 1: Arriving in Ered Luin
In the 3rd Age after his exile from Mirkwood, Thirenel of the House of Willowshade landed at the docks of Celondim with his cousin Karnos, and his lieutenant Kellica, along with many other displaced nobles from his house (His wife Ilorhynn would arrive days later on the last ships from the east that carried the greater nobles and the remaining soldiers of House Willowshade). Here he would build his power base as well as start his search (in secret) for his lost heirlooms (These items were crafted by Thirenel in the early years of the first age and were stolen by Thirenel's brother Damilavar soon after the fall of their House) claiming he was scouting the lands and hunting it's most dangerous beasts...
Part 2: Falling into Despair, Find the soothing Darkness, and Sealing Oaths.
On one of his many "Hunts" Thirenel left his fair wife (known to be a capable warrior in her own right) in the ruined town of Trestlebridge and after days of searching the lands north of the town he returned to an even more pitiful looking town than he left... upon his return he was greeted by one of the most haunting events of his long life, His wife the Lady Ilorhynn Willowshade die at the hands of the brutal Orcs and Men from the lands of Bree... thus causing a catastrophic downfall of stability of his House while in it's exile.
His Cousin Karnos would at first try to console his crestfallen companion, but this was not to last... Karnos and Kellica the leaders of Thirenel's Armies (or what was left of them) and without the Commanding presence of Thirenel demoralizing their troops, Karnos and his mistress could send their warriors against the remaining "Lord's Guard" thus taking control of the House and forcing Thirenel into yet another exile.
Thirenel would not go quietly into another exile however and instead slew many of his own soldier's as well as some of his personal guard and sellswords from the lands of men who defected as the tides of battle turned before he was finally chained and sent into the east, to Bree, hidden deep in a forgotten barrow in the Barrow Downs where he would be set free by a strange man and a grouchy old dwarf who Thirenel seemed to remember (yet it took him many days to remember his old friend) they took him deep into the Old forest to a camp they had set up as a base camp for their expeditions into the Barrow Downs. It was there that he would sit during their long trips into the Downs and contemplate his people's (as well as his own) faults... giving himself a deeper understanding of his own missteps while his hatred for the Eldar grew in the darkness, feeding upon his memories and urging him towards a path to power so terrible he did not think he could bring himself to step foot upon it, Until the day he met with his dear old friend Dwivir Blackfyre who taught him that power of the magnitude he sought was as easily obtained through kindness disguised in shadow as it was to walk the path of the ones who betrayed him for their own gain... And thus he went into the Old Forest making his way into the darkness of it's boughs and finally when he reached the Glade known to the few who trod there as "The Shade Pool" he set up his home building a small platform in a tree in the waters and there he would call upon his memory of Eol the Dark and swear fealty to his kind, yet dark and unforgiving lord.
((Part 1 took place in Celondim and the North Downs when Zagzeroth was but a lvl 20ish character, the rest of this story took place in many places in Breeland during lvls 50 through 55 after a long period of OOC history where Zagzeroth was kept in the Barrow Downs.))
((Please note that this story can only be known ICly by those involved and those who have been told of Thirenel's past... therefore take this as is, a story to help familiarize people who do not know of Zagzeroth and to help those with an interest with involving themselves with him...))
