Tales of the Mute - Letters to Myself - Entry 13

I have learned that buying poison cheaply from a shady person isn't the greatest idea in the world. All it seemed to do was cause major hallucinations, and I woke up under my bed by Corrben talking to me. I am not sure why he was there, but he made me tea and something to eat. He told me about his daughter, and gave his apologies for Meredith. He stayed over that night, and left for work in the morning. I know I should stay away, and to stop falling back into the same routine with him. He's just so comforting and does his best to take care of me. I don't think we will become a couple again, not after what I last wrote him. Even if he did forgive and trust me again, I don't think I trust myself enough.

I decided to brave a trip to the Pony today, to my barrel. There was a man I met, Einbjorn. His outfit fascinated me, and he looked amused when I was so interested in it. He isn't from around here, or anywhere I recognize. I figured he might be from Dunland or the Wilderlands, but I didn't ask. He's dressed like a bear, and wears a bear hood and furs. He doesn't talk much, and doesn't try to force me into talking, either. He can read, though, which I found to be odd given his apparent origin. I don't know what came over me, but I sat on my barrel and we held hands. He seemed to be very surprised or confused, as if he wasn't used to actions like that. I sat contently like that for quite a while, and he read some of my journal. He soon had to go, though, which was disappointing but one can't stand around in an Inn forever, I suppose.

With love, Tosie.
