-3 years, 7 months and 2 days since my departure from Harad.-
I've been told that writing helps to arrange one's thoughts. I suppose I can agree with them on this point, however I shall make sure that these observations shall be open to all those in my Court.
I suppose I should start at the beginning, or at least give some sort of introduction upon my person and my cause.
My name is Kahina and I am a hobbit as well as King of the Court of Miracles. While born in the Shire no doubt, I hail from far south, from Harad. I am in no position to disclose any kind of details, for I desire to keep those parts of my life to myself. We all have skeletons in our closets and while I suppose I shan't have much privacy as a public figure for our brethren, it doesn't mean I am not allowed some kind of personal thoughts.
In Harad, I have always known a Court of Miracles. And while it did not always bear this name in the past, people have started calling it as such. In old stories, the Court of Miracles was only part of a town, hidden away in beggar alleys and catacombs. It grew and now, many branches have sprouted throughout Arda, from Harad to Gondor, from Gondor to Rohan, from Rohan over th Misty Mountains, finding even root in some elven lands I have heard. I am the first one to arrive here in Bree; I searched for any kind of companions allied to our cause for our Kingdom, but the word had not spread beyond Ost Guruth, were a single one can be found, usually outside of the city and guiding burglars upon a mission to test their capabilities.
I did not find Bree lacking as much as other places I have visited. However, no matter what, injustice still exists; the Bree Watch are probably the least aggravating of it's kind that I have met before. However, they do not help those in need hidden away in Beggar's Alley and allow the worst sorts of scum to terrorize those who have no means to defend themselves. While we are no saints of any kind, the Court however has always existed to help those who have been cast out by society, deemed as unworthy or as evil of any kind.
I shall attempt to do the same here in Bree, until I move on and check out for the other branches of the Court of Miracles throughout all of Arda; I am most eager to find those in Moria, for word have it that some of ours have found their way there.
But I am going ahead of myself.
For now, I shall make sure to gather those who wish to join our cause. It shan't be easy work for we need to lay a strong foundation and make sure that we can hide and protect our own kind in this town. I am eager to see what I shall find and can only hope for the best.
