Sat having drinks with Eoryn and Blodwynn, a friend of Eoryn's. Was very pleasant. The girls are so sweet. Eoryn is so innocent and, for living in an inn, quite ingenuous. Blodwynn is a little older and, I expect, a little wiser. We were chatting away quite happily, Blodwynn telling about her latest adventure, just an enjoyable afternoon, when a man walks up. While he did not look that menacing, he certainly tried to be! Demanded that Blodwynn accompany him for a little chat. I noticed Eoryn was quaking in her shoes when she looked at him and while Blodwynn seemed calm, you could tell by her eyes she didn't like it at all. I watched with a little concern as she and the man left for the backrooms of the Pony. Eoryn had gone quite pale. I asked her who he was but she could barely speak poor thing. Something about 'bad man' is all I could get out of her. We sat there contemplating each other for a few moments, then I couldn't stand it any more. I asked Eoryn if she thought Blodwynn would be alright. She shook her head, saying she didn't know, so that settled it for me, I suggested we go look them up, just to make sure Blodwynn was alright. Eoryn nodded and we headed for the backrooms. We found them right enough, right outside my room in fact! The man was looming over Blodwynn in the most intimidating of ways. Poor Blodwynn didn't seem to know where to look. Though she did not seem to be trying desperately hard to get away from him either. The man was muttering to her, I didn't catch what, but I did see Blodwynn's face turn quite pale at his words. I marched past them, making sure they were aware of my presence and demanded to know if Blodwynn was alright. She nodded faintly. The man asked me what business I had there so I fed him the pretext that I was just fetching something from my room. He sneered at me at that, saying something about a likely story or whatnot. I refused to let my feathers get ruffled, and entered my room for a moment, to pick up my dressmaking scissors, leaving Eoryn and Blodwynn outside. When I came out again, the man was bothering Eoryn. Very unkind of him! I went to stand beside Eoryn, the scissors in my hand, moral support and all that. The poor girl was trembling like a leaf. I don't know what he said to us then but it was supposed to be threatening. It worked on Eoryn, she became even paler. I stood at my full height and looked at him steadily, refusing to be intimidated. Eoryn went down the stairs to put a little distance between herself and him. Then the man spoke to Blodwynn again. What he said made me quite furious, the scissors were trembling in my hand. Blodwynn said she would be alright though, so what was one to do? Mustering all the dignity I could but feeling like a whipped puppy, I turned on my heel and returned to the main room with Eoryn. The poor lass was completely shaken so I ordered us some tea and gave hers a good splash of something strong. That brought the colour back to her cheeks a little. I had to leave to do some shopping then, so leaving Eoryn in the not-so-capable hands of Mr. Butterbur, I left the inn. I do hope the girls were alright, I have not seen them since I came back.
