Breaking the chain

The forests  of Ithilien had been quiet for the past few days, a welcoming sight for those who took refuge there. Cynraede, Adunable and Aedicus sat around the fire, looking over those whom they had retrieved from Osgiliath. The journey had been rough on the entire group, they had lost many, the young warrior that met Cynreaede and the company in Osgiliath had fallen when they were ambushed by a horde of orcs.

Cynraede sat with his back towards the mouth of a small cave, writing upon a piece of parchment while Uial sat before him with her head tilted. "You and Aedicus are going back to the Warhorse to meet up with the others, I have a task specifically for you. I'm going to be here for awhile, and I have many messages for you to bring. One to Alkawen, one to Fairlain and one of your choosing."

Cynraede's grey-ish blue eyes peered over the parchment. "Hey, listen up. This is important. You've got to find some one to take my place temporarily. You found me, so I know you can do it again."

Adunabel and Aedicus looked over with furrowed brows while Aedicus spoke up. "Take your place? What do you mean, Cyn? You are coming back, yes?"

Cynraede shook his head slowly. "The Iaurmenel gave me my orders and I have to remain here, my task is not yet completely." Cynraede rolled the parchments and tied it to the birds leg.

"Cynraede, are you sure?" Adunabel stood, looking towards him, his head tilted slightly.

The hunter stood, adjusting his quiver and blades that rested upon his back. "That I am, I must acomplish this alone. Go ahead and travel on to Minas Tirith, I shall meet you when I can. There is something I must investigate."

The three stood, remaining silent for several moments before Aedicus spoke up. "Your father would be proud, my grandchild. Be safe and return to us in one piece. May the Fathers eyes be always upon you." Aedicus bowed slightly and tiled his head. "Shadow guide you, and night shroud you."
