Suspect: Name unknown. Adult male. Dunlending. Estimated at a bit over six feet. Large, tanned skin, dark eyes. Wears a bear mask.
Crimes: Assault and attempted murder.
Victim: Aevalyn, daugher of Aomir. Shopkeeper at Honey & Silver Co.
Location and date: Due south of the North Gate, on a hill among the hobbit farms. Exact date unknown to the victim, but estimates it happened shortly before Yule.
Summary: The victim was walking down the street when she heard a roar behind her and turned to see the suspect. He didn't speak, but pointing at a tree on a nearby hill, prompting her to follow him to it. There he began strangling her, his motive apparently being hatred for those of Rohirric blood, according to what he told the victim in hiw own tongue. The victim tried to explain that she wished the suspect no harm, but that only made him angrier. Fearing for her life, the victim drew her axe, causing the suspect to step back and pull his own axe. The victim didn't wish to harm the suspect and tried to run away. The suspect then threw his axe after her, hitting her in the upper back. The victim managed to flee into the Prancing Pony and found help there.
The victim was hesitant to come forward with this due to her concern for the suspect. She does not wish to see him harmed and fears it would incite more anger between their two races. She also requested that this was kept out of the public's eyes as much as possible for the same reasons, and that her family should not to find out what has happened and who was involved.
Other notes: The victim mentioned that Ameren Branson, the woman that tended her wounds, and a local man known as Dugg would have seen the suspect.
