The Hunt for Strider

The Hunt for Strider

It has been quite some time when the nine left Minas Morgul, at that time some of the men from Mordor were also dispatched to be at the Nazgul's disposal.

Anarr soon was dispatched from Mordor, he did indeed travel in many disguises, as a farmer, stable owner, weponsmith, armoursmith, salesman, and many more. But by the time he arrived in Bree, he wore the clothing which he wore in Mordor; Black attire, and he bore spears that were crafted in Minas Morgul, just for this hunt.

Many hours drew by, and he was attracting far too much attention for himself within Bree, especially to the locals by asking questions of the whereabouts of the Ranger. He used bribes, such as gold, and he attempted to twist and brainwash some of the people whom may have discoverd that he could be a potential enemy...

He met another man, and he seemed to know quite a few things about Strider, and the one ring, so he drugged him, and carried his body to a place where no one would discover it, he binded the man's hands and feet.

Just then, a companion of the drugged man was following, and he soon discoverd Anarr's bad deeds, although he was not alone, he seemed to have brought a man who was well armoured.

They continued to argue, and make death threats, however, they all heard a Nazgul's scream. At this point Anarr abandoned his victim and ran for the North gate of Bree, he knew if he could gain protection from his masters then he would be safe from harm.

Anarr ran up a hill, and over to a small bunch of trees, and there stood one of the nine. It seemed the Nazgul accepted him for protection as a Man of Mordor. The Elf and the well-armoured man soon caught up with Anarr and the Nazgul, but there was a third man, he seemed to look like a ranger. The three of them fled back into Bree once the Nazgul paced towards them with his sword drawn. They cursed Anarr and said they would find him another day.

The Nazgul and Anarr seemed to talk for a bit. But it seemed that Anarr's services were lacking, and so as a punishment he was wiped on the chest and back for failure to bring more information back this day.

Tomorrow should be a better day for Anarr, if not, he will be punished yet again. How far will Anarr go this time to ensure his place among the Mordor ranks? Only time may tell...
