OAKENBRAIDS FAMILY HEIRLOOMS
Over the centuries the craftsmen of the Oakenbraids created many fine jewelry and weaponry. The items they held most dear became part of the collection of the Oakenbraids Family Heirlooms.
AKLATH'AZGU
Aklath'azgu, or Eye of the bright blue Sky, was named after the tanzanite gem that was set into the ring. The tanzanite gem was found by Glólin Oakenbraids during the first resettlement of Erebor. The ring itself was crafted by Burinur Oakenbraids from a mixture of Khazâd Skarn and Gold. The Filigrain that surrounds the ring where handcarved by Jensia, Burinur's wife. Currently the ring is in posession of Khimir's mother, Baraz.
BURINUR'S LOCKET
Simple of design, the locket was one of the first pieces of Jewelry Burinur crafted after his wife Jensia died. He needed something to hold the portrait of his wife. The locket was crafted from Ancient Silver. The portrait of his son, Magrûn I was added later. Currently the locker is in posession of Magrûn II, Khimir's father.
