The Meeting with My Father's Murderer

Marrienne entered the main room of the Pony, after having spent a very long while in the back rooms. Her husband had come and gone, taking the twins she was the proud mother of back to their house, and now she was left with not knowing what else to do. She raised a brow, before looking around the main room... and spotting her boss and brother-in-law. "Boss? Dem?" she asked, confused.

Demlemoth spoke up in greeting, “Hello Marrie.”

Karl Tannenbloom, the Watcher who had reopened the case of her father's murder and had made some progress on it, came rushing in, out of breath. He quickly looked around the room, finally noticing the one he was searching for, "Miss Rosethorn! I... found him. Shadowmass!"

Marrienne blinked, turning around with a furrowed brow. "... my dad's murderer? You've... you've actually got him?" she asked, clearly sounding as though she was in disbelief.

Awarth smirked. "Twenty-eight..." he answered, before he glanced over to Marrienne and said, "Hey there, kiddo." Then he raised a brow.

Karl said, “Aye... I got him. Alive.”

Demlemoth raised his eyebrow and stood up.

Marrienne fell silent for a few moments... then she nodded. "Okay..." She took a deep breath. "... take me to him. I have more than a few things I want to say to the bastard."

Awarth asked, “Do you wish for me to go with you, Kiddo?”

Demlemoth added his offer, “Or me?”

Karl nodded, speaking softly in response, "Are you sure? I will be happy to take you, but as long as you feel alright about it."

Marrienne looked at her employer and brother-in-law, and shook her head. "No... I'll be alright, promise. The asshole won't try anything in front of a Watcher. It's why he's hid himself for eleven years."

Awarth kept his gaze on her for a while before nodding and saying, "Very well..."

Karl nodded. "Come along then."

Marrienne then looked at the Watcher, nodded, and followed him. While walking, she opened and closed a hand into a tight fist. Oh, she had more than a few choice words for the asshole in the jail now... more than a want to talk, she wanted to punch him for putting her and her family through so much hell. After a few more steps, they walked into the Jail and Marrienne was pointed in the right direction to where the cell in question was, and she walked over to it—the Watcher having had a need to discuss something important with someone else and needed to do so privately—meaning she was going to have a nice private discussion with the prisoner. However, there seemed to be... recognition... in her eyes, as she looked closer and harder at the prisoner, growling out after a few long moments of nothing but staring at him, “You...”

Shadowmass smirked slyly, muddy green eyes staring at her from under a mop of short, messy brown hair. "Yes, little miss Rosethorn, it is me... how are the children?"

Marrienne scowled. "... how dare you ask me that... Call me a name I no longer go by... Kill my dad and--..." Her face blanched. "... you're Mitch Green..."

The man smiled slyly. "Surprise, dearie... I've been right under your nose this whole time... Tell me... how does it feel, knowing you slept with your father's murderer...?" he purred, leaning against the bars.

Marrienne blinked several times. "... your name isn't Mitch Green, though... I know it isn't. But you... fucking. Asshole." She blanched even more, seeing just... who he looked like. "... your surname is Rosethorn too, isn't it... You..."

Mitch cut her off by saying, “Look just like good man Nikolas? Indeed... and you are correct... my twin was always the good one, the wanted one... He didn't get carted off to Angmar for no good reason... He fell in love, started a family...”

Marrienne looked very angry and disgusted at hearing this. So that was why her son... Oh, if she didn't look angry and disgusted before, she definitely did now. "... you -sick fuck-... I am so glad you're in there... and away from -my- babies."

After perking a curious brow, Mitch responded, “Yours? Oh, so you did keep them after all... And oh, how the town must look down on an unmarried mother of twins...”

Marrienne shook her head. "I'm married now. Happier than I have -ever- been... and my husband treats them like his own, blood from the same side of the family as mine or -not-... I hope they decapitate you, Mitchell... and I will be there to watch." she growled, before she turned and saw the Watcher who accompanied her there return.

Shadowmass, also known as Mitch Green, also known as Mitchell Rosethorn, smirked slyly, looking to see the Watcher there. "I suppose the lady has nothing more to say..." he said in a bored tone, before turning and walking further into the cell.

Karl asked, “Ready to leave, Ms. Rosethorn?”

Marrienne scoffed and looked away, a clearly angry look on her face. "I need a drink now... yeah, I'm ready to go."
