On The Road Again, but not Permanently
He passed through the somewhat familiar lands of Eregion, not afraid of the elves there as he was some months ago and better prepared for any sudden ambush. But chances that happening a second time were slim, as he followed the safe roads and having an overly affectionate mount.
The animal he named Miluirokkō. As Braigion wandered the stables in Imladris one day, examining which would best suit his needs for his journey, Miluirokkō ended up pressing her head up against his chest, snorting. At first the elf thought it was an itch, but whether she sensed the ellon’s need, he may not be able to figure out immediately. No matter, when they set off on the road, she was very, very pleased. Braigion was as well, being free…
But this was not going to last forever, he knew that much. Kherī Kānear had assigned him to be Eltawĭnā’s tutor. In listening? Not a very intense topic, but apparently that was a field the elfling needed to work on. Braigion would very much agree, and was willing to teach the elfling combat…when it came time, thus he could not be away for too long.
The monuments, the ruins, they were greater and bigger as he traveled further south. This place, Enedwaith, was mostly inhabited by rustic and wild looking men. He never got close to them, and was not willing to try and learn another language so soon after finally being able to speak Sindarin (if still not a bit clumsy with it).
Memories…and perhaps some proudness in all these structures: the regal ruins and even the poor huts. The Atani made themselves settlements and their own governments. The Avar smiled in spite of himself and continued onward.
((Eltawĭnā is Gileryn’s older name, and Kānear is Huoriell’s.))
