Confronted with the pain

Aeruthuil had looked up from his daydreaming as Demlemoth stood right in front of him. He was very fond of the man and in a way they shared the same sort of pain. Dem told him that he wanted to take him to a place and Aeruthuil agreed. As they walked, it was quiet and calm. Aeruthuil looked up in the night sky as if the stars were calling him home.

When they arrived at the spot, Aeruthuil right away noticed sitting in the middle of the circle of trees  two wooden carvings. One of a woman, old and barely distinguishable, and a newer one of a dwarf. Right away Aeruthuil seemed to realise who those two were and had looked over towards Demlemoth as the man spoke to him.
Aeruthuil chewed on his lip as he tried to comfort Dem as much as he could, until to his own surprise the man handed him two small wooden statues.

Aeruthuil stares at the wooden carvings, they were not yet finished but he knew what Dem meant with this. He nods slightly as he could feel the tears in his eyes. He places the statues down on the ground as Dem handed him flowers. He smiles for a moment and places the flowers down near the statues.

Aeruthuil stares for a while as he feels Demlemoth's comforting hand on his shoulder. Fighting his emotions became impossible as tears ran down his face. He was confronted. Dem right then and there had confronted him with what he had been trying to avoid to feel, think about or realise but.. he wasn't mad. He was thankful that he was able to be himself right now, even if he had to be pushed to it.

He smiles up towards Demlemoth as the man had asked him if he was able to be alone now for a while and grieve in private, ''Yes, I am.'' He replied before he watched Demlemoth walk off to leave him in on his own.

Aeruthuil slowly sits down on the ground as he stares over towards the statues. He takes a deep breath, closing his eyes for a moment before he takes out a drawing he hadn't looked at for many years. He felt more tears running down his face, yet he smiled as he stared at the drawing of his wife. He missed her, he always had and loved her so dearly. He looks up for a moment as he thinks of Laayla, she has loved him more than he could have asked for and started to realise that she deserved more of who he really was and not the person he had shown to her for the past months, especially not the past days.

Aeruthuil shifts towards the tree, leaning back against it as he stared up towards the stars, thinking of Calardor. He grins for a moment, shaking his head as he hears the man's voice in his head making one of his usual comments but he then frowned, shaking his head. Calardor's loss was too fresh, it hurt him to think about it, perhaps he had to start with one loss at a time.
