The Shadow Walkers: An unpleasant dream

[This story is connected to http://laurelinarchives.org/node/40736.]

On their way back to the Hobbit's land, the Shadow-Walkers stopped near the High King's Crossing and camped below the statue of King Elendil. There, Suoma decided to have a rest, while Katrandil and Ornessar were talking.
Not long after, they saw a stranger approaching. A stranger who, apparently, was an adventurer from Bree-land. Unlike me, Kat seemed to like her, and they had a lot of fun together for the whole day.

But night came. Kat and her new friend went to sleep, and Ornessar stood with his back touching the wall, daydreaming.

Reality started fading, and Ornessar soon was in a world of dreams.

"It is time to leave.", said Kat. Ornessar nodded, gathering all of their supplies before leaving. They left, walking towards Barandalf, but they did not walk long. Just a few metres away, over the hill, they met a band of orcs. Kat rushed at them with her sword, and so did Ornessar with his dagger, not worrying about his life.

Kat had already killed a few orcs and rushed towards the biggest one, who seemed to be their leader. Ornessar kept fighting with two, stabbing one in the neck, and dodging the other orc's attack and killed it. In the meanwhile, an orc-archer shot a poisoned arrow at Kat, hitting her torso, but she continued fighting, beheading the orc-leader and rushing towards the archer. Kat said "Tell Suoma to go back to the camp.", and Ornessar did as she said, without stopping the fight. After killing the archer, Kat received a fatal wound in the stomach. The two remaining orcs rushed towards Kat, who had now fallen down, and Ornessar.

Ornessar dodged its attack and spun, stabbing him on the back, then rushed towards the other one, and stabbed it in a vital place, killing it.

Then, Ornessar sat near Kat's soon-to-be-lifeless body. She looked at him, he touched her face, and his eyes filled up with tears. The elf looked at her wounds, unable to help. He started crying, and Kat closed her eyes.

"Don't go..." he said in Quenya. She looked at him, staying silent. Ornessar kept crying. After one minute of silence, she spoke.

"Keep... The hobbit... safe...", said Kat, and Ornessar replied that he will.

"I... knew... I could... trust you... My... friend...", said she and those were her last words. She let go of her last breath. Ornessar cried with spasms, grabbing his dagger and cutting off his right hand, the hand that he had sworn to protect her with. He then closed Kat's eyes with his other hand, saying he is sorry, but it was too late.

Or so he thought. One second after, he heard the hobbit's voice sounding from the camp, and he woke up. He soon realized this was the reality, and what he saw was only a dream."

"Are we leaving soon?", she asked. Ornessar nodded, still being worried about the ranger. He woke her up and asked her if she was okay, but told nothing to anyone about his dream.

"It is time to leave.", said Kat once again. Ornessar packed their supplies again and talked two rangers who were sparring nearby.

"Please follow me. I will need your aid." he said in Sindarin. And they did.
