Beyond the Old Forests of Moon-land.

Something feels overwhelmingly dark and grim about the lands beyond Ithilien, the land to which Aelidan was attached to by the high command of Gondor in Minas Tirith. The ranger felt darkness sinking its claws into once peaceful area of the ancient, but now ruined and partly abandoned capital. Not much can be said at the current state of Osgiliath, but its fate was once already sealed by the same darkness. Aelidan is short on knowledge of the Middle-Earth, but even he knows what's growing on the east. And he is concerned about ethics of Gondor not willing to prevent the threat before it can erupt.

The Tower of the Rising Moon, which is now known as Minas Morgul, keeps the ranger in fear as every time he looks at the path leading to it. Dedicated to his service chap knows nothing of the Dark Sorcery, yet he feels it coming from the east. Every single day he comes there, silently observing the road as if expecting the hordes of enemies approach so he can beware his comrades of the striding Evil, which is about to invade the lands of Moon-land. This is the only place he cares about, leaving Southern savages to be dealt with by Pelargir and the rest of South Gondor. Speaking of Haradrim and pirates - he hasn't heard anything of them in the past months and years, which should lead him to assuming that the lands are safe from the south and there should be nothing to worry about. But Aelidan's consciousness is his main ally and enemy at the same time. He is too curious to let the thoughts of possible attacks simply fade away.

He always looks up at the bright blue sky, imagining what it would look like when the forests will be set on fire, if the White city falls and dead bodies of his comrades will be planted atop of war-pikes, hanging off the cliff to Anduin. So many depressing thoughts visit his mind, which should be driving him crazy if being honest. But it is always better to imagine the worst so it can push you to do deeds for the brighter future. And once the evil leaves the Moon-path - Aelidan will be relieved. But not now.

So, at last, what lies beyond the Old Forests of the Moon-land? Something bad. Something that silently and slowly lurks into the lands of Gondor, waiting for the right moment to strike all at one go, demolishing, destroying and terminating everything around the way arrow rips flesh apart, stopping only when the fatal wound has been done.
