"That's right, filth," mumbled Cassiah. "Keep walking."
"Who's that?" asked Aeruthuil, raising a brow.
Cassiah looked toward Aeruthuil and then Eliad.
"Take a guess, Aeru," said Cassiah. "I would go to the other camp if I were you. He just walked into the Chetwood."
"That was...the man from earlier," said Eliad. "The one that went with Aduninzil."
"Aye," replied Cassiah lowly. "Another one out for Aeru."
"How...," said Aeruthuil, blinking. "Why, what are we stood here for. We should've stopped him."
"I don't know how dangerous he is yet," said Cassiah, shaking his head. "To simply attack him would be foolish." She then said quietly, "But he didn't seem out to kill at the moment."
From afar and well away from their eyesight, the man raised his bow and drew an arrow back before releasing it, aiming for Aeruthuil's chest.
"I really don't like the look...," began Eliad before seeing the arrow. "Watch out!"
"Look out!" exclaimed Cassiah, her eyes widening.
She attempted to push Aeruthuil away from the line of fire. The man put his bow away and ran off. Unfortunately, Aeruthuil was a pretty large and heavy man. Instead of allowing her to push him away, he held his ground wondering what she was doing before dropping his flask as the arrow hits him. He gasped for air as he fell to his knees.
"Damn you!" yelled Eliad, looking towards the Chetwood.
He unsheathed his blade, moving to go towards the wood unless if stopped. Cassiah quickly sat down beside Aeruthuil. Swallowing, she examined him sincerely, hoping the arrow did not reach its mark deep enough to cause any real damage.
"You stay here...," said Eliad. "I'll find him."
"Go on...," said Cassiah.
Eliad moved his left sleeve to his mouth to pull it down with his teeth to reveal his snake tattoo before running off. He ran through the Chetwood, trying to find the man, anger in his eyes.
"Where are you?!" yelled Eliad.
Not seeing any figures, he moved deeper into the Chetwood, letting adrenaline and anger take over. After a while, he stopped running and breathed heavily.
"Where are you, damn it?!" yelled Eliad.
He had made his way back to where he had come from, thinking that he may have passed him. At a distance, he squinted to see a figure running away before running after. He followed the man into the Chetwood and behind a ruins. He breathed heavily as he stopped running, looking at the man.
"That's as far as you go," said Eliad.
"About time you found me," grinned the man, taking out his daggers.
Eliad pulled back his hood to look at him directly before holding his sword tightly with both hands.
"You'll pay for what you did," said the man.
"And what I did was what your sister contracted me to do," chuckled the man sinisterly. "But since you are here, I can take care of you as well for her."
"I'm not exactly going to be merciful either," said Eliad, keeping a serious expression on his face.
The man rolled his hood back, allowing his cloak to fall off. Eliad readied his blade before stepping in rather quickly. As soon as he was in reach, he used his blade in attempt to pierce the left shoulder. The man saw the man's movements with the blade and rolled out of the way in the nic of time.
"You are quite faster than I expected," said the man. "I am no match for someone of the likes of you. Would you take a surrender?" He then grinned awkwardly, "Come now. Is there some code you go by, huh?"
"What code?" frowned Eliad, turning quickly. "I'm nothing but a filth to my people after all!"
He came at him once again, using his blade to strike the man's hand. The man was not ready this time as he had expected the man to take his surrender so his eyes quickly went to his hand as it was about to get hit and moved it slightly but not good enough. He squinced his eyes as the blade pierced his skin, making a huge gash on his arm.
"You imbecile!" shouted the man.
He then took a light step back and threw his knife at Eliad's leg. Eliad winced as the knife had gone into his leg. He glanced up at the man, almost feral before making his way towards him again, though not as fast as last time, using his blade towards the hand once again in attempt to cut it more. In his mind, it felt as if all conscience and how he normally was as a person was replaced into a darker, merciless side to him. The man let out a loud roar as his hand was severed from his body. He took more steps back this time, cradling his arm as blood filled his hauberk. After a moment, he then attempted to dash, making a run for the opening.
"And don't ever come at us again!" shouted Eliad.
He immediately felt tired and more himself again, breathing heavily. He winced as the pulled the knife out of his leg before limping towards the two.
