It has been a while since I last wrote down my thoughts on the matters that concern me. Now appears to be as good a time as ever.
A few days have passed since we managed to capture the guard that we suspect has ties to whomever is causing problems for the Black Steel Company.
We went out in a small party, but large enough to easily overpower our target. However things quickly turned sour.
It started with a simple order. Flank around and don't be seen. Three groups. Myself and Aeirillen, Lieta and Phaewyn and then Athlenah and Aalan. There was another man but.. I do not remember his name..
Asside of that, everything went wrong when Athlenah and Aalan got captured. I do not completely know what happened but according to Athlenah, Aalan got too greedy. From what I observed he wants to be seen by the company. Perhaps he has high ambitions. I don't know... but I don't like it.
After they got captured all went south. The entire mission turned into a fight for our prize. I send Lieta and Phaewyn to take care of our main target as I and Aeirillen went out to free our captured companions.
A battle came to stand on the old farm north of Bree. Eventualy I managed to cause enough distraction for Aalan to get a chance. Sadly... instead of helping Athlenah escape as well he just ran for it. The coward.
I'll surely have his head for that... but such is for another time. Eventually I managed to free Athlenah as well and take down all of our foes forces that I had been in battle with.
Lieta and Phaewyn managed to capture the target as well, so in the end all went well... Rusty..... but well.
As I write this I sit under a tree in the Far north of Chetwood. I tried tracking down others who carry that token.... CB.....
I killed some wandering orcs that strayed to far from their camps on the border in hope to find more awnsers amongst them, no luck though.
It seems I'll have to speak with Fiontann again about this. Perhaps he has gotten something out of the corrupt guard we captured.
