It has been a while since I last written. Cirdu now seems to be alright after the incident my last entry was about. I spoke to him and he ensured me that anything like that would not happen again. I will trust his word.
I discovered I have an uncle. My father did not ever speak of him, until now. They have a history. It is too complicated to put to parchment. I met Baedwulf in Bree, and ever since we have got on well. He is a handful and likes to stir up trouble, but I feel compelled to have contact with him. He is family, I do not have much of it here in Eriador. I know father does not like me being associated with Baedwulf, but I cannot turn him away. He is lonely, I know it.
I have received word that Andarne and his wife have welcomed a son. How happy I feel for them both! I have not visited Andarne in a long time, I have not even met his wife yet. Perhaps I should write to him and suggest I pay a visit. I quite fancy a trip to Ered Luin. Elven lands are so beautiful and peaceful.
I know how it feels to experience such warmth, for I have a joy of my own. In five months or so, that joy shall be revealed to the whole world. My husband is thrilled with the prospect and so am I. Finally, things are looking up for me.
